Founded by Puneet Nanda, GuruNanda is known for making high-quality essential oils and wellness products accessible to consumers worldwide. From humble beginnings, the brand has grown significantly by maintaining a commitment to authenticity, affordability, and quality.

Challenge: creating a more personalized customer experience

GuruNanda identified key opportunities for ecommerce improvement:

  • Optimizing average order value (AOV): Encouraging customers to discover and buy more through relevant recommendations and bundles.
  • Driving subscription growth: Streamlining how customers subscribe to their favorite wellness products

Solution: driving revenue and improving the customer experience with Rebuy

Through collaboration with Rebuy, GuruNanda used several different personalization products and features across their brand, with implementation led by software engineer Suvimal Yashraj and Director of Ecommerce Anish Nanda.

  1. Smart Cart: Personalized upsells and cross-sells in-cart increased order values instantly.
  2. Dynamic Bundling: Strategic product bundles tailored to customer preferences simplified purchasing decisions and increased cart sizes.

Before switching to the Rebuy Smart Cart, GuruNanda were using Upcart. At the time, they'd generated about $9,000 in upsells in the cart over the previous 60 days.

Within the first 30 days of using the Rebuy Smart Cart, they’d hit $30,000 in upsell revenue. That's 3.3x more upsell revenue in half the time.

Suvimal explained that he felt their previous cart experience’s clunky UI was resulting in missed revenue.

He also shared how they were missing opportunities to offer Dynamic Bundles on the product page and had no post-purchase options.

Using Switch-to-Subscription through the Rebuy Smart Cart and at checkout with Rebuy Checkout Extensions has helped increase the number of loyal customers who signed up for GuruNanda’s subscription program.

GuruNanda has also been using content blocks in the checkout (like customer satisfaction and money-back guarantees) and seeing an uptick in conversions with those added social proof points.
